ABOUT LOTTIE

Lottie

Despite trying my hardest to go down the sensible option of University and a desk based career, (I graduated from Loughborough in 2011 with a BA in Industrial Design) horses have always been my true passion, much as I tried to fight it!

I have competed in many equestrian disciplines since being allowed my first pony aged 8, (no younger or I wouldn’t have been able to look after it myself). Following on from my Prince Philip Cup days, my Mum told me I had no natural bounce so I gave that up, I have now represented both the Riding Club and Pony Club at national level in Eventing, Showjumping and Dressage.  Early on I  found my true passion lies in Eventing, although I am currently affiliated with both BE and BD (I’m rapidly finding a bit of 'bling' goes a long way in upping the dressage marks, very helpful for the event season!)

Quite the character, Wizz is known as the spoilt child at home, he knows how good he is and that he is top dog. Luckily he also knows when to pull out all the stops when it matters!

2013 has been a somewhat interrupted year, following her first and only fall off Wizz when contesting the Intermediate at Withington horse trials in April resulting in a broken ankle! Thus 4 months later we were back on board to drop down a level and compete in the Novice at Sapey, fortunately the break didn't hurt either of us too much and a second place was the result.. the next plan was to step back up to Intermediate to finish the season at Allerton and Aske.. however as always with horses a spanner in the works in the form of a splint has resulted in calling it quits for the season!!
